The Bee Shack

The Bee Shack offers a great selection of 'takeaway' cold and hot drinks and cakes during our busiest times so you can avoid the queues in The Bee Shed. Enjoy in our outdoor seating area or as you amble around the animal area.

We aim to open The Bee Shack during school holidays, farm events and at peak times between subject to staffing.

During off peak times we will have self-service coffee and hot chocolate if you want to avoid queuing in the Bee Shed!

The Bee Shed is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm and you are welcome to pop in to collect a takeaway coffee and slice of cake should The Bee Shack be closed. There is plenty of outdoor seating in 'The Pig Pen' by the animals - please note this area is strictly for customers and should not be used for picnics.

Please see a few walking routes going via Lathcoats Farm so you can make your coffee and cake a little more guilt free.

1. 2km loop - footpath and road

2. 2.5km loop - all paved via Chelmer park

3. 6km loop - footpath, road and fields (walking boots recommended!)
