The Bee Shed Coffee House
CORONAVIRUS: THE BEE SHED COFFEE HOUSE IS NOW CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Over the years farm shop customers regularly told us that we should open a coffee shop on the farm. In 2012 we ran out of excuses, and in April 2013, after a year of planning and hard work, refurbishing the barn that used to house Lawrence Taylor’s bee keeping equipment, and latterly, apple picking paraphernalia, and a games room for Taylor children, the Bee Shed Coffee House finally opened.
With an emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients sourced from our trusted farm shop suppliers, the Bee Shed at Lathcoats offers relaxing surroundings for excellent coffee, light lunches, afternoon tea (book in advance for afternoon tea) and delicious homemade cake.
We bake scrumptious cakes and scones every morning and create salads and soups that reflect the seasons.
Lathcoats apple cake is the house speciality.
We offer a children’s menu and have highchairs and colouring things to keep little ones busy. We have a cosy wood burning stove in winter, and a sunny terrace for the summer (or hardy types and dog walkers at any time!)
More than just a coffee shop
Close by the Bee Shed we have our menagerie of goats, pigs and donkeys, who always have time for a chat.
And small farmers can pedal our toy tractors to their heart’s content.
Our new natural play area is now open for customers during business hours, and in the summer watch the swallows via our “nest cam”.
The Bee Shed is a perfect venue to meet friends and family, all year round and Lien and her team look forward to welcoming you.
